Frames from the day

  1. Kirtan from six in the morning. Fifty people, most of them related to each other.

  2. The Anand Karaj under a ceiling fan, the ragis singing the Laavan slower than we have ever heard them sung.

  3. Ardaas, then karah prasad, then everybody out into that light.

  4. Langar in the hall at noon and both mothers serving, which is the photograph her father asked for.
