Behind the lens

We are Meghna and Devansh. We live in Udaipur and we have been photographing weddings here since 2016. Between us we carry two stills bodies, one cinema body, and a second shooter we have worked with for years. We shoot quietly. We ask before we walk into a room. We do not stage the departure and we do not ask you to do the garlands twice.

From Udaipur

Meghna grew up three streets from Fateh Sagar and learned to see in the flat blue light that sits over the lake before the sun clears the Aravallis. She assisted an editorial photographer in Mumbai for four years, got tired of photographing clothes, and came home in 2016 to photograph people instead.

She works with two bodies, mostly a 35 and an 85, and she will not put a flash on your ceremony unless the room leaves her nothing. She is the one you will hear laughing at the back when the families start negotiating.

I am looking for the thirty seconds after the ritual ends, when everyone forgets to hold their face.

Cinematography, sound and the edit.

From Pali, Rajasthan

Devansh trained as a sound recordist before he ever held a camera, which is why our films are cut to what a day sounded like as much as what it looked like. He came to Udaipur for a diploma in 2012 and never went back to Pali except for weddings.

He puts two lapel mics on the ceremony so the film carries the actual words, not a licensed track over silence. He is the one standing at the back during the phere, never in front of them.

Give me the priest's voice, a grandmother humming and one door closing, and I can build the whole day out of that.

One cinema body, one backup, a gimbal he uses less than people expect, two wireless lapel mics and a field recorder.

We had four hundred people and I was certain the day would come back to me as a blur. Meghna sent sixty photographs two weeks later and I found things in them I had not seen happen. My father crying during the kanyadaan. I had no idea.

A two person studio in Udaipur. One of us shoots stills, one of us shoots film. We take about twenty weddings a year because that is how many two people can actually shoot.

  • There are two of us, plus a second shooter we have worked with since 2018. On a wedding day you get all three, so the haldi upstairs and the baraat outside are both covered.
  • Every camera has two card slots and writes to both at once. Nothing has ever lived on a single card.
  • We carry a spare body and a spare lens each to every wedding, including the ones we fly to. The spares are not props, they have been used.
  • Cards are copied to two drives before we sleep. One drive stays with us, one goes back to the studio in Udaipur, and a third copy sits in cloud storage until your gallery is delivered.
  • If one of us falls ill, the other still shoots and we bring in one of four photographers we have worked alongside for years. We tell you who, by name, before the day. If we cannot field a team at all, the retainer comes back in full.
  • We take about twenty weddings a year. We do not double book a date, and if we are held we say so on the same day you ask.
  • We have kept about two hundred wedding days since 2016. We do not have a more exact number than that, and we would rather tell you so than invent one.
  • We show full films, not only the reels. Ask for the long edit of any wedding on this page and we will send the link.
  • We are listed on WedMeGood and WeddingWire, and our Google reviews are public. We have never asked anyone to take one down.
  • Every collection lists what is not included as well as what is. If something is missing from the quote, it is missing on purpose and we will point at it.
  • We ask permission before photographing inside a gurdwara, a mosque or a church, and we follow whatever the granthi, the imam or the priest tells us. No flash during a ceremony unless we are told it is fine.
  • One of us has read your running order twice before the day. If we do not know a ritual, we ask you or we ask the priest. We never guess at somebody's tradition.

  • Travel and stay are billed separately for destination weddings; drone and heavy-gear logistics are quoted per venue.
  • All prices are quoted plus 18% GST. We state GST separately on the quote and on the invoice. We never fold it into a headline figure.
  • Candid + cinematic runs ~30-50% above traditional-only coverage.
  • Metro weddings skew higher than tier-2 cities. A Delhi or Mumbai date will quote above the same coverage in Udaipur, Jodhpur or Kota. That is venue access, crew stay and local logistics, not a different fee for us, and we will say which is which when you tell us the city.
  • A quote holds for 14 days. Prices on this page are for 2026 and 2027 dates.
